Church History

The Founder and Pastor Carmen M. Olson (Connie) was born in Greenville County, SC, on August 21, 1954; but was raised in Easley, SC. She was the daughter of the late Pastor Edna R. Massey and James A. Massey. She was the wife of 15 years to Christopher P. Olson.

In June of 2009, the Lord called her out into a teaching/deliverance ministry of her own. She was then licensed and ordained by Apostle Ivory L. Hopkins, Founder and Overseer of Pilgrim's Ministry of Deliverance in Harbeson, Delaware. She began her ministry having Bible Study on Thursday nights, the first being held on January 28, 2010, and open to the public.  She began having it in the Comfort Inn in Easley, SC and then she moved the Bible Study, called "Unity in the Faith Bible Study", to 900 East Main Street, Easley, SC. She officially began In His Name Deliverance Ministry church in June of 2011.

The emphasis of her calling is that the children of God not be "... destroyed for lack of knowledge." (Hosea 4:6) Her heart-felt desire was for God's people to know how to "fight the good fight of faith." (I Tim. 6:12) and "...brethren, I would not have you ignorant ..." (I Corth. 12:1) These are some of the foundational scriptures she stood on in her ministry.

On February 11, 2014, Founder/Pastor Carmen M. Olson suddenly went home to be with the Lord. She left a mark in our lives that will never be erased.

The church remains strong and determined, like the Founder/Pastor, to walk out the calling of God and to share it with whosoever will listen.
